Xenolith 12"x24"x1.5" Resin Geode on stretched canvas
The canvas used in this creation is very high quality and built to last with duck cotton canvas mounted over kiln dried double frame. Made to last and resistant to stretching or warping over time.  Canvas was triple gessoed to prime the canvas and avoid cracking, peeling and to add tooth to the products added to surface.
The entire surface and sides were painted in base design with high quality artist acrylic paints and mediums prior to adding geode effects. This was to add overall depth and add to colour enhancement. Drying time at this point was 2 weeks to ensure surface was completely dry before adding the many layers of epoxy resin. .
Many different crystals, acrylic domes, mica powders, Metallic glitter, glass and mirror where added to canvas surface and sides with resin to form design. Only 1 item with resin was added to pattern at a time. 1 day of drying time was left between design pouring stages.
When design was complete another thick layer was poured and spread over entire surface and sides
