Board is fine sanded (front, back and sides) prior to start of creation process for a nice smooth surface.
Board area were embellished, is sealed and allowed to dry for 24 hours prior to applying paint and tinted resin to ensure proper adhesion of paint and resin.
The entire back is taped off for nice clean edges.
Materials used are professional quality, food safe epoxy resin, non toxic acrylic paint (under resin), food safe epoxy resin, mica and resin tints.
The only epoxy resin we use on all our products is Artresin Brand.
Artresin is certified food safe, UV protected, easy to clean, strong and shines like glass.
Resin is applied and allowed to dry for 72 hours to fully cure.
After fully dry the exposed Acacia areas are treated with food safe wood oil and allowed to dry for 2-3 hours.
After 2-3 hours, natural, food safe wax is applied and allowed to dry, then hand rubbed to seal in the oil and add to the longevity of this product.

All my charcuterie boards are created on organic, sustainable, food safe woods.
Boards are sanded prior to decorating.
Backs are taped off so you are left with a nice clean finish and to make sure there are no sharp edges on the reverse side.
Embellished area is taped off and sealed prior to adding resin and embellishments to ensure proper finish and adhesion.
Certified food safe (Artresin brand) epoxy resin and embellishments added and board is covered for 24 hour cure.
After resin has cured the exposed wood areas are sanded front and back to remove any imperfections that may have occurred during creating.
Food safe oil is applied and allowed to soak in for 2 hours.
Food safe wax is applied and allowed to soak in for 2 hours.
Entire board is then hand rubbed to attain a nice smooth polished finish.
- ArtResin has been evaluated by a certified toxicologist at the American Society for Testing and Materials as being non-toxic when used as directed (conforms to ASTM D4236). It is formulated using the highest quality materials and therefore produces no VOCs or fumes. It is a clean system, meaning there are no solvents or non-reactive diluents—everything in it reacts so nothing is free to become airborne and cause health issues. It is also non-flammable in its liquid form. For all these reasons, it is therefore classified as a non-hazardous material and is shippable by air. Furthermore, many curatives have a powerful odor, however ArtResin has only a low odor and is applicator friendly.
